A Lifelong Journey with the Quran
Habiba Muhammad Abdul-Waleed’s journey with the Quran is one marked by sincerity, perseverance, and a deep longing for connection with the words of Allah. A Rabata student for the past four years, she describes her path of seeking knowledge as both long and deeply meaningful, one that has been nurtured and strengthened through her time at Ribaat.
Over the years, Habiba has immersed herself in a wide range of Islamic studies, including Arabic, tafsir, tasawwuf, tajwid, and now Quran memorization. Each step has built upon the last, shaping not only her knowledge but her relationship with the Quran itself.
Habiba’s love for the Quran began early in her life. As someone who has been Muslim for most of her life, she “always carried a deep desire to read the Quran with proper tajwid and to understand its message.”
Though she studied with various teachers and programs over the years, something still felt incomplete. She was searching for a space where her learning could grow steadily, where knowledge was not just gained, but nurtured.
Finding a Home at Rabata
That search led her to Rabata.
“When I discovered Rabata, I felt that I had finally found a home for my studies,” she shares.
What stood out to her was not just the depth of knowledge, but the way it was delivered with care and a sense of purpose. The thoughtfully designed courses, dedicated teachers, and supportive community created an environment where her learning could flourish.
“Each class has opened new doors of understanding and deepened my relationship with the Quran.”
A Journey That Continues
For Habiba, being named Student of the Month is not a milestone of arrival, but a moment of reflection along an ongoing path.
“Being recognized . . . is both humbling and encouraging,” she says, expressing gratitude for her teachers and fellow students who continue to inspire her.
Her intention moving forward remains simple and sincere: to continue learning, striving, and drawing closer to the Quran for the rest of her life.May Allah place baraka in Habiba’s journey with the Quran, deepen her understanding, and make her among those who carry its light in their hearts and lives for a lifetime, ameen!
