Each student will be paired with a certified\u00a0<em>tajwid<\/em>\u00a0teacher, either online or locally, with whom she will work with one-on-one. All teachers assigned at this level hold the same\u00a0<em>ijazah<\/em>\u00a0through a connected\u00a0<em>sanad<\/em>\u00a0directly from the Prophet (s) in the\u00a0<em>Hafs \u2018an Asim<\/em>\u00a0recitation.<\/p>\n<p>This certificate is issued when the student has recited the last five\u00a0<em>juz\u2019<\/em>\u00a0of the Holy Quran to one\u00a0<em>tajwid<\/em>\u00a0teacher and passes an oral examination for each\u00a0<em>juz\u2019<\/em>, and then for all five at once by the Riverstead Tajwid Committee. The Riverstead 5 Juz\u2019 Certificate is issued by Rabata and the Riverstead Academic Institute and authorized by the Riverstead Tajwid Committee. All testing for this certificate will be done online.<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">Course Prerequisites:<\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Students should be women above the age of 17. Applicants must have a passing grade in all the following courses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"yui_3_17_2_1_1716745802469_48\" class=\"editor-indent\">\n<ul id=\"yui_3_17_2_1_1716745802469_47\">\n<li id=\"yui_3_17_2_1_1716745802469_46\">\n<p id=\"yui_3_17_2_1_1716745802469_45\">Arabic Novice High or equivalent*<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>TAJ 101* &amp; 102* &#8211; Qur\u2019an Fluency Parts 1 and 2<\/li>\n<li>TAJ 201 &amp; 202 and\/or TAJ 203 \u2013 Tajwid Rules Courses<\/li>\n<li>TAJ 301* &#8211; Quran Khitma Project<\/li>\n<li>Memorization of Juz&#8217; 30 with\u00a0<em>tajwid<\/em>\u00a0while enrolled in TAJ 401 &#8211; The Crowning Venture: Quran Memorization<\/li>\n<li>Pass an oral assessment after completing the above prerequisites to demonstrate the student\u2019s ability to read the Holy Quran fluently with full application of the rules of\u00a0<em>tajwid<\/em>\u00a0with minimal errors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>*Starred items may be waived through a placement test for Tajwid and\/or Arabic<\/p>\n<p>**Once students are approved for TAJ 405, they are admitted as Ijazah track students and are eligible to take other level 4 and 5 courses required for the Riverstead Tajwid Iazah.<\/p>\n<p>*Starred items may be waived through tajwid assessment.<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">Placement:\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>New students in the Riverstead Tajw\u012bd Program should complete an assessment to receive a recommendation on the best course to start with. Riverstead textbooks are available to enrolled students at a discounted rate through\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #c3976a;\"><a style=\"color: #c3976a;\" href=\"https:\/\/bookshop.rabata.org\/collections\/ribaat-texbooks-1\" target=\"_parent\" rel=\"noopener\">Rabata Bookshop<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.
